BASICS
Name: Ferran Mistfire.
Nickname: Fer.
Age: 24.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: His desires are fleeting; if he wants someone he'll find them.
Birthday: Unknown.
CLASSIFICATIONS
Race: Human Necromancer.
Powers: Ferran has the ability to raise and destroy the dead. He can command them at will and isn't afraid to do so. The dark arts have been prominent within his family line for centuries. This is really the only impressive thing he can pull off.
PHYSICAL
Height/Weight:
5'8", 144 lbs.
Appearance: Ferran looks like this but with one blue eye and one red eye.
Markings?: His coming-of-age tattoo is located on his left shoulder; it looks like this.
Hindrances: None.
MENTAL
Personality:
Ferran is generally very laidback and reserved. His voice is often quiet and tempered, and the human doesn't like raising it unless he absolutely needs to. He has a dislike for disobedience, not hesitating to put someone - or something - in their place when they do not obey. Ferran has a cruel streak within his body, more than likely due to his upbringing, and isn't afraid to unleash this upon other people. The human mostly keeps to himself other than this, however.
He has somewhat of an inferiority complex due to being "just human," as someone so delicately phrased it. Sure he's not supernatural but he could easily tear them apart; has done so in fact, to prove his worth. Ferran likes things going according to plan and if it's his plan, even better. Things being in order and kept that way are prime examples of how to get him to accept you. Not like, because Ferran barely likes anyone, but accept.
The human tends to toy a bit with his test subjects as well. New experiments and even just causing pain amuse him and he takes great pleasure in it. Rounding up the subjects for these tests would normally be left to someone else within the Resistance, but Ferran prefers to do things himself. After all, to make sure it's done right, one must perform the duty on their own.
Health Issues?: None.
BACKSTORY
Parents: His mother, Moran Mistfire, and his father, Tenhvi Mistfire; both deceased.
Siblings: A brother, Xian Mistfire.
Other Relations: None, and he prefers it that way.
History:
Ferran was born into one of the more power families of his art and yet he somehow still managed to draw the short straw. His brother was always better at everything. He had more skill, more power, and more favour. It wasn't hard to figure out how much his parents loved his twin; they didn't exactly hide it. Ferran was left in the dust very quickly and was forced to learn much of what he knows about Necromancy on his own. Without a teacher and proper guidance, he fell behind. While Xian gained immeasurable power, he was left with the scraps from the dinner table.
His parents barely looked upon him at all. Children born into Necromancy normally don't get love to begin with, but Ferran was especially deprived. For a very long time he wondered when he would go to sleep and never awake again, becoming a test subject for one of his brother's experiments. The human grew angry and bitter knowing this could happen at any given second. Ferran was second best, always.
He grew cold and uncaring, locking himself away within his room. When it became time for their coming-of-age ceremonies, he was left to figure everything out on his own. His test was taken alone, the Necromancer barely passing. No one was there to congratulate him; there were no celebrations for Ferran. He quietly accepted this, becoming even darker and filled with anger.
The day his brother told him he didn't deserve his tattoo was the day Ferran became the sole survivor of the Mistfire family. Ferran killed his brother in rage and didn't hesitate in felling his parents. For the first time since his powers had surfaced, he felt alive. It was exhilarating and awoke an even darker beast within him. He felt no remorse that night and to this day has no regrets. After the death of his family he was forced to flee; it didn't take much convincing to get him to join the Resistance. Ferran doesn't even really care about Finix Academy; he's only there for the steady supply of test subjects.
